Every day you and I have to make decisions. Some of them have great significant consequences,

and some of them appear to be very insignificant. But whatever our decisions may be,

sometimes they carry far greater consequence than we realize. Some of them are irrevocable. You can't change them.

Once that decision is made, it's made made and you have to live with a consequence.

All of us want to make right decisions every time, but we don't.

We can't always know all the facts, don't have all the issues at hand, and so sometimes we make wrong mistakes.

Sometimes those wrong decisions are the result of carelessly,

indifferently, making up our mind without seeking God's direction. The wisest way to make a decision

is to find out what is the mind of God. What does he want us to do about this

particular situation? And that's what I want to talk about in this message, entitled

the Holy Spirit, Our Guide. This is our last message in the series on the title of the Holy Spirit,

the power of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. And the title of the Holy Spirit, the power of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer.

And the title of this message is, the Holy Spirit, our guide.

I want you to turn, if you will, to John chapter 16.

And all through this series, we have been looking at these chapters, 14, 15, 16th chapters because they are so filled with

significant admonitions from Christ. And this one has to do with the Holy Spirit, who is our God,

our leader. And he says, remember now that his disciples are confused a little bit.

They don't know what's going to happen because Jesus is

talking about leaving them, and I'm sure they must be asking the question. Well, when you leave,

then what? What are we going to do now? And so he says in verse 12, I have many more things to say to you,
