Why is it that you always resist the Holy Spirit?

The Spirit draws people to the Lord, the Pastor Greg Laurie points out that our free will can stand in the way.

Yeah, it's true that God's Spirit will come and call you and try to bring you to Jesus,

but he will not take over your will.

You can resist the Spirit.

The Lord created us with a will of our own.

In doing so, He knew some people would reject Him, but that was His plan from the beginning.

And yet the Holy Spirit calls out to us, drawing us to the Lord.

It's the wise person who heaves that call.
