Pretty straightforward, unless you're an amateur.

They said oh I already played with yours you won last week and your parents won the two weeks

before, I'm out of friends with mobile phones, so I'm reaching out to your little butter.

But in this first segment, the motive is not money. It it's something else because for the man in this story

hoaxing isn't a way to make quick cash it's an art form and the world of daytime television is his canvas

It's a place where he can be a star of sorts. But later, when he tries to practice his art of deception in the real world, things are a lot different.
