Welcome to Russian history re-told. Episode number 205, the history of Ukraine and its relationship to Russia. Part 1.

Last time we wrapped up our series about Siberia with a look at its effects on women and children, focusing on the

gulags. Today I'm starting a new series about Ukraine's history in its relationship with Russia.

Before I start, I wanted to share with you a personal issue as my daughter, Anastasia,

or as some of us call her Anastasia, has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.

As she has epilepsy, she has a high risk for symptoms and is currently in the local hospital's

COVID ward.

While she is recovering and the past few days have been really good, it's still touch and go.

She needs to test negative twice

before she returns to her home.

Thoughts and prayers are always welcome.

Ukrainian history and at the same time try to relate it to Russia without

diminishing the rich history of this unique land.
