Today on the show we're going to be going way back, way back in the way back machine.

I say a lot, Mike, I say that there are a lot of different ways that people enjoy guns. Some people get into the tactical

side of it, some people like the competition side and accuracy. Some people like the

mechanics of it, like they love like what, what, is this a blowback action or

is this gas impingement, you know, all this stuff, right? Another area is the

historical side, which is admittedly I know some stuff but I'm not that deep. My knowledge is an inch

deep and a half a mile wide on historical stuff. But you are a historian, I got a historian, Smith and Wesson specifically, right?

Yeah, I'm a firearms historian.

I did my history degree at North Carolina State University a couple of years ago.

I wrote my thesis on the rise of Smith and Wesson

is kind of an example of sort of an early modern enterprise

in the 1850s, early 1860s, and that kind of

got me into being a gun historian. Crazy. then specialized in Smith and Wesson after that.
