tonight for communion, we do so by being faithful Lord to our Wednesday

night studying the book of Hebrews.

And so, Lord, God, we ask now that you would unlock our hearts and our minds

to this continued, remarkable challenge to us from the scriptures, from the book of

Hebrews itself that we are to be a people of faith and that we are to be a

people that leave behind wherever we're at, evidence of faith.

This is a very, very serious topic and Lord, I know it's something that I labor over in my own private life.

What do I leave behind when I leave a room?

When I leave this building, when I leave Costco, when I leave my house,

when I leave the ball field, or when I leave wherever I met, what kind of an

atmosphere am I leaving behind?

What taste am I leaving in someone's mouth when I leave?

What aroma or odor is there? And God, I pray that for all of

us we would be very, very conscientious believers about our witness.

And so this is good to us, we pray,

ask your spirit to change our lives more and more.
