What the scriptures are telling us is this is what they're spreading.

They are spreading resurrection life.

This is the gospel, to put it negatively.

We don't have the gospel without the resurrection.

It is really central to everything we're thinking about.

No resurrection, no Christianity.

One author said, the gospel without the resurrection is just no gospel at all.

And so that's just a reminder for all of us that as we speak about the gospel,

to always include the resurrection because that's what the New Testament does.

So Holy Week is upon us, and that means that people around us are probably thinking about the life and death and resurrection of Jesus more than they might normally. Even non-Christians

are probably more conscious of Jesus' death and resurrection right now. So I wonder if you think

about your role as an elder in your church, as a pastor, and as just a person living in your community,

how do you think about the opportunities that might exist

around the Easter season when you think about people around you? Yeah, I mean, certainly Easter

Sunday is a Sunday where maybe more people come into the church, and it's a day where they think

about maybe going to church, and so that's just an opportunity to share the gospel with them.
