I would go to sleep because I was super pregnant.

I was exhausted.

I would go to sleep in the room.

He would be in the office, up all night drinking by himself.

He'd go down to the liquor store in a hoodie and then come back.

And I remember one day he came in.

It's like really sad that he came in and I was super pregnant.

He kind of started crying and he's like, fuck, you're really pregnant.

I don't even really remember you being pregnant.

You're about to have a baby.

And I'm like, yep, this is me.

It's hard to hear the damage that we do because, again,

is it's such a selfish and self-centered disease

where you don't really realize a lot of this is happening

because we're actually about to go is I was actually

on the first floor at Hill Hospital

while she was giving birth to Delilah on the fourth floor.
