We have a packed episode for you today.

This is one of the busiest times of year for us because we are just back from the whirlwind festival tour of Venice, Telluride, and Toronto.

And at the same time, the Emmys are in three days this Sunday.

So today we'll recap all the highs and lows from the festivals with our guest, Joy Press,

who was in Venice, and then we'll get into the Emmys by sharing some of our predictions

for the most closely contested

races. Speaking of the festivals, John and I are back. John literally just got off a plane and

onto this podcast. We're just back from Toronto. For those who haven't heard our episode from

Tuesday yet, John has officially joined as a co-host of Little Gold Men, and we made him hit the ground running by co-hosting

our Little Gold Men Live with me. We interviewed Riz Ahmed and James McAvoy in front of a wonderful

audience at the St. Regis. John, I'm so happy you're going to be a part of this family.
