He told the staff in the morning, as I said, and he broke the news to his audience that afternoon.

While the audience and the rest of us on the staff were still in shock,

there was a pleasant shock to come.

That afternoon, when I got a call from my good friend, Sean Hannity.

and word was that it would involve rush, and that rumor was circulating all over Washington, DC.

Well, it didn't take long before we all knew what was happening.

The President, State of the Union, was one that will never be forgotten.

Rush later said that there was more to this story than he told his audience.

And one day, he would tell us what that more was.
