Summary

Life in Chrissie’s upscale condo complex came with a pool, covered parking … and the creeping suspicion that the land itself wanted her gone. Streetlamps blinked out the moment she passed, only to flare back to life behind her. Squirrels grew bizarrely territorial, hissing and lunging like tiny demonic bouncers. And through a child‑sized door in the garage, a swirling vortex of cold air whispered that something—something was still down there. Was the entire development plopped atop an old burial ground, or had Chrissie simply stumbled into a pocket of raw, untamed energy?
