Not that we even need to wait, because every day really is a portal to a new reality if we treat it as such but

I think I blabbed about that in last week's intro so I shan't do it here but this pod is going to be a little bit different.

Because I woke up the other day thinking to myself.

I'm foggy on what the big deal actually is, about a year.

I mean I know it takes 365 days for the earth to go around the sun. I know that. But is that all that's going on? What is the history? What is the symbolism? What is the mythology? Why is every single culture around the world obsessed with this

and after a little bit of research and really just connecting it with mythological motifs I was already familiar with.

As you probably expect there's a lot more to it than just astronomical logical cream filling happening here. But first, literally, what is a year? Why do we measure it the way we measure it?

So that requires a little bit of history, but not a whole lot. It's pretty straightforward because our modern calendar isn't really new.

From what I've read, aside from some tweaks, it dates back thousands of years to ancient Egypt,
