Gary, how are you this afternoon?

I am great, and the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ will keep you right up there where you belong.

Yes, it does.

And the Bible, as we're soon going to find out, and Matt has been preaching on the book of Joshua.

By the way, you might tell them about your church.

Sure. The Lord founded New City Church here in Oklahoma City during

COVID in 2020. So on November 29th of this year, we'll celebrate five years as a church. And

the Lord established it. He named the church after the New Jerusalem from Revelation 21.

And he called it the New City, New City Church.

And we just go through the Bible verse by verse.

And we're in the middle of the book of Joshua right now.

I am turned to Joshua chapter 10, and we're going to read verses 10 through 13.

And the events mentioned in these verses are so thought-provoking

that you can hardly—once you open your mind to them, you can hardly imagine where this

is all leading.

And I'm going to start here with verse 10 of chapter 10,

and the Lord discomfited them from four Israel and slew them with a great slaughter at

Gibbon. Who's getting slaughtered at Gibbon here? Yeah, the the Gibbonites. So in Joshua,

Joshua's leading the children of Israel across the Jordan into the promised land. He picks up the mandate from Moses when the Lord carries Moses home. And the children of Israel are going around and conquering one by one the cities in Canaan. And the Gibbean knights are those that came and deceived Joshua and the children of Israel
