I want to interview myself here after having done, I don't know, 30 or 40 of these things during our virtual and physical

book tour about my new book, The Hidden History of the American Dream, the demise of the middle

class and how to rescue our future. And I'm just going to go through the book here with you

over the course of the next 30 minutes, and then I'll pick up your calls on the other side of the

bottom of the hour, and share with you, you know, basically this new book that I wrote, which, by the way,

I think is a great holiday gift. Shameless plug department. But it's my newest book. It just came out

just a few weeks ago. It's the Hidden History of the American Dream.

And it starts out, well, it doesn't quite start out this way, but it makes reference to this.

It's dealt with in more detail on a few of my other books, but my other hidden history books,

the one on neoliberalism and the one on democracy.

But it is reference

in this book that it really starts back in the 1770s. In the 1770s, you know, when we had the

Revolutionary War and we wrote the constitution
