0:06.0	Connor, why are so many men addicted to pornography but afraid of intimacy with a real woman?

0:18.0	There's an opener, right? We're just like, we're just going to lay it in like that.

0:24.6	The point is easy access, high reward, low risk.
0:31.6	So there's not really a big risk of rejection.
0:34.6	You're not going to be told no. you know, the embarrassment factor is pretty low,
0:39.7	the shame factor is pretty low, you know, whereas being rejected by a woman or your advances
0:46.2	don't go well or the, you know, the connection doesn't go well.
0:49.9	That's, it's embarrassing and it's hard and there's a lot of rejection.
0:53.1	And I think a lot of young men have
0:55.4	not been raised to endure rejection in the ways that we used to and so our threshold and our
1:04.4	tolerance for rejection as men has for a lot of guys has significantly decreased. When you couple that with the very addictive
1:15.9	nature of pornography and the function that it serves for most men, it's just a bit of a lethal
1:22.1	combo. So pornography does this wonderful thing where I call it hitting the reset button.
1:28.8	So for when you are a guy at the end of the day and you're stressed or you're anxious, you're
1:34.8	bored, you're lonely or you're frustrated or you know, you hate your job or you maybe you've
1:40.0	made it advance on your girlfriend or your wife and you got shut down or didn't go well.
1:46.2	And you feel something internally that you don't like.
