0:36.8	industry known as fast fashion. Fast fashion is the term used to describe clothing designs that move quickly from the catwalk to stores to meet new and quick trends.
0:46.4	It's cheap, mainstream, and made to simply meet the demand of staying in fashion and keeping up with the latest fads.
0:53.2	Now, while I have no issue with people
0:55.2	wearing what they want and being as trendy as they please,
0:58.6	the fashion industry is unfortunately riddled
1:01.6	with many, many issues, and I do take issue with how these
1:05.4	clothes are manufactured. From how this affects the environment to companies
1:10.0	underpaying their employees to just poor quality items in general
1:13.4	there's plenty to get into with today's episode.
1:16.2	We're going to talk about quite a few companies to accomplish this
1:19.4	with a heavy emphasis on the cheapest and fastest companies that are most notorious for
1:24.0	their unethical practices so let's touch on the history of Fast Fashion itself.

1:47.0	Well, according to one source, many of the retailers
1:49.5	that we know today as Fast Fashion, big players
1:52.2	like Zara or H&M started as smaller shops in Europe around the 1950s.
