I want to tea off of where Brin's been just for a moment.

How will he who did not spare his own son,

but delivered him up for us all, not also freely with him give us all things? The original sin was the

belief that God would withhold.

For he knows that if you eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of the good and evil,

the eyes of your understanding will be enlightened and you'll be like God.

So not only was the original sin to believe that God withholds, but the original sin was to fail to believe that God had not withheld. She was already in the image of God. The Imago Di, as the Latins called it, in his

image. Why?

She was created in the image and likeness of God.

And if your adversary can cause you to believe that you're missing something when perfect righteousness has made you absolutely whole,

you'll begin to strive for what you're already in possession of.

Religion will tell you to try harder when nothing's missing.

You'll try to add to when you already have everything that's necessary.

And so one of the things that has to shift inside of us is we have to recognize that all of our fear is a theological

issue. A lot of people don't want to talk about theology and they're scared of it being coming

heady and academic and snooty and a bunch of, you know, geniuses sitting around in the room

talking about how many angels can dance on the head of a pen.

You know, can God make a mountain so big he can't move it, kind of stuff.

That's not what we talk about when we talk about theology.

We're talking about a group of people who are coming by the revelation of the spirit into an understanding of the nature of the father.

But I feel this tonight. And as we come into a deep and real and abiding sense of what the Father is actually like,
