Here we go it's hour three the herd wherever you may be and however you may be listening I heart radio box for radio and FS1 Jason McIntyre is joining me.

I wanted to talk about this for a second because sometimes people man especially because of the testosterone and our egos you'll do something within a group of men you would never do on your own.

You know you're with a bunch of guys somebody does something stupid everybody starts laughing and you look it's like the movie hangover you're not going to go do that by yourself you start drinking with guys you're in Vegas and all of a sudden you do really you do something.

And you regret not me I've never done anything ever but they always say choose your friends wisely because sometimes we can all be influenced by the crowd were around right you get everybody gets a lot of courage with a couple cocktails and a tough buddy behind them.

So be careful about and I it was interesting so OBJ nobody wanted bills went and got cold beastly cowboys what got T. Y. Hilton and there was a moment so LeBron James has this show he in Maverick Carter I know Maverick pretty well great guy it's called the shop.

And it's sort of I think they do it like once a month maybe I've seen clips of it and when everybody's in the shop it's kind of loose and everybody's cool and indifferent and that's just kind of the vibe of the show it's kind of cool guys sitting around Barbara shop be kind of just shooting the bull all kind of cool tell you their thoughts and they get OBJ on it and OBJ can get my belief gets kind of caught up in the moment

Do we have the tape and he says we do we have it yet we have it here's what he says.

As we made the decision and for me it's like I would like I would like to to be in a stable environment get up 6 a.m. leave at 6 p.m. for four weeks and then let's talk about it.

I've played football for a long time like I'm not saying that I couldn't step in and play regular season but I don't see the point I really don't like I would rather play when that pressure is on I'd rather play when the lights is on.

That didn't play well in the league this is not the NBA you got to play in the regular season like you're not young OBJ without injuries you're old and these have been significant injuries not like one or two is like he's now on multiple significant injuries.

And it was like in the moment he gets caught up with it saying you know I don't want to play in the regular season that that's not the NFL that's not the NFL you got to play in the regular season Tom Brady and Aaron Donald when they're healthy playing the regular season.

So that sounded like one of the reasons we liked OBJ with the Rams because he fit into the culture he was you know he was he was humble and grateful and he's like hey man I just want to be part of a team I want to be part of a collective that's very likeable.

This sounds like old OBJ like I want special treatment if I do you're not that Justin Jefferson's to fall in digs to Montaille Adams you know those guys came to in week 17 and said I don't want to play I want to save it for the playoffs and you had it wrapped up.

He'd be like okay I mean Justin Jefferson came up to you and said we're already going to play off game we're already hosting it and my hammies a little tight dude take the week off Justin Jefferson's impossible to guard OBJ now is old brittle and I just thought in that moment he got he got caught up on the shop and kind of being indifferent and I'm like people heard that and I think it was a turn off.

I mean it's less I love the NBA we both love the NBA but it is ridiculous the co-I Leonard situation is ridiculous you could not do that in pro football and I do think it turns fans off is that one of the reasons we love football is they plan the win the rain the call they play hurt there there.

You start you start going hey man I just don't feel kind of like a regular season games do that special treatment like everybody in this league is playing hurt from week three on everybody.

Nobody is playing 100% nobody and so I just thought that was a bad moment some of those maybe he wouldn't take it back but I think when you say something and it's out there and I think people in the NFL looked at that and thought dude that's not where you're at well how do you sell that to the other 53 guys on the roster hey I'm good for the regular season you guys get in the trenches you handle it I'll just show up in the playoffs this isn't the NBA you're right NBA locker room hey you could skip some game 82 games you can do that in the NFL.

And unless you're like Philly and you're running away from the you know your division in your six games opera whatever they are then maybe in week 17

AJ Brown comes up and says hey man my neasore I'm gonna take week 17 off dude do it that that's totally different that guys a star he's in his prime he's available he's carried you to a different level I just didn't love

me it's not the end of the world OBJ is fine not a bad guy I just I didn't think this was a great that was a great moment for him he could still latch on somewhere if there's an injury you need a number three receiver maybe he latches on but it does seem unlikely now that anybody's going to get

the other thing I was thinking about when I watched Kyler Murray get hurt last night it's interesting so I was I was late to work by about 10 minutes this morning usually I get
