Welcome to the herd. It's me Jason McIntyre in for vacationing Colin Coward. I believe he is on maybe a I don't even know what the word is for but he's somewhere in Iceland enjoying a nice respite.

I'm joined today by Alex Perri Alex. How you doing? I'm doing great. How was Paris? You were also vacation J. Mac. Yes. One of my favorite places I got to spend like six weeks there for the world cup in 2019. So tell me. Good.

Favorite part. I got less than a week there but it was incredible. Arcta Trianf was amazing. The Eiffel Tower was decent. The food. The food. The people. The vibes. The energy. The culture. I mean Paris probably now on my favorite cities would have to be after New York.

In the world that I've been to as just are you traveler. Have you listened? You know I actually have in the open that I'm going to say. It's tough to travel when you're doing this.

Yeah. You can't travel during football season. Yeah. It's kind of relegated to summer when all the tourists are out. It's difficult but we got one in during the NBA playoffs and yeah. Yeah. It was a lot of fun. It's good to be back. Obviously the calendar says June 1st and Alex. I don't know if you know June 1st a big day for me.

Seven years ago today we moved the family from Pennsylvania out west. So this is my seven year anniversary at Fox. Very exciting. Yeah. You moved to my hometown. I did. Yeah. Welcome.

I'm enjoying the South Bay greatly while I was on vacation. Obviously you know some NBA happenings occurred and we'll get to the NBA finals. Obviously nuggets versus the heat. I thought it was going to be Celtics. We'll get to that shortly.

Couple couple good wagers in play for the series. But I do want to start with a big kind of bombshell that dropped in the NFL. You know sometimes when you get new information you've got to change the way you look at a story. And for the longest time Aaron Rogers had kind of been wacky guy.

You know issues with his family. He's jetting around between celebrities and just kind of one of these guys that we couldn't really get a handle on and now you got a big story that dropped the athletic

at it that Aaron Rogers back in 2021. Tried to fire his GM Brian Goudacans to have been with the organization for 20 years. Now obviously you know when you get somebody who's been with the organization that long I believe he had been GM since 2018.

You need some context. Well I would Rogers want this guy out. Why would he do that? Why would he push a power play. And I think the answer is simple and you've got to you know look around the league and you've got to look in your own life and say wow.

Maybe I agree with him. So the context is in 2020 Aaron Rogers coming off a good year they went 13 and three in 2019 and the Packers decide low and behold we're going to not help out the defense which just got shredded by the 49ers in the NFC title game they lost 37 20 the Niners memorably had like eight pass attempts in the entire game.

And the Packers you know they could draft defense to to both of the roster and Aaron Rogers gets word from his agent.

They traded up for a quarterback and Rogers kind of went into a tailspin and I don't think you can blame him. Ladies gentlemen just think about this briefly you you have your job wherever you do maybe you're banging out TPS reports in the office or wherever you work.

And all of a sudden one day your boss comes to you and says hey we just hired this new guy I want you to introduce him want you to kind of mentor him and I want you to tutor him and you look up this new gentleman who was hired and you're like wow this guy is kind of on the same track that I am.

It's kind of in my role did they just hire my replacement. And you know Aaron Rogers looks in the mirror says wait a sec I'm in my mid 30s you guys just drafted a quarterback who was mediocre at best in college and let's be real.

Jordan love I think his highlight was leading the country and interceptions his final year in college and Aaron Rogers was ticked off and this can go one or two ways when this kind of thing happens.

You know you could do door number one hey I'm going to be motivated and I'm going to kick butt I'm going to show them.

Or you could go number two and say hey hey hey this is unacceptable I've been with the company for a decade.

Okay I'm your guy blood sweat and tears poured into this organization I'm out and you could reach out around the league or in your job you could reach out in your landscape of work and say hey I need a new job I'm getting out of here.
