Turn to Mark Chapter 5, we're going to continue our series entitled,

Discovering the Divine.

What we're doing is we're actually looking at encounters that Jesus had with people.

When Jesus was on this earth, he met every day ordinary people that came up to him

and he ministered to him and we're looking at those encounters to learn more about Jesus,

to learn more about God.

It is important how you see God. It is important what our

perspective is of God. If you see God as an angry, harsh, judgmental father

then you won't go to him when you fall and when you make a mistake.

And that's not the way he is.

He is exactly like Jesus was when Jesus was on this earth.

So we're looking at everyday encounters Jesus had to learn more about

the character and the nature of God. Now, this week I entitled the message, the hymn woman.

Not a lot of intrigue in this title,

because most of you know exactly who we're talking about,

the woman who touched the hymn of his garment.

Mark chapter 5, verse 25. Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for 12

years. Let that sink in on you 12 years. She kept bleeding. And had suffered many things from many physicians

she had spent all that she had and was no better but rather grew worse when she

heard about Jesus she came behind him in the crowd and touched his

garment. We know from the other Gospels the hymn of his garment.

For she said, if only I may touch his clothes I shall be made well.
