In John the 14th chapter, let's look at our text that we've looked at previously.

John chapter 14 and 16.

Jesus said, I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever.

I heard somebody saying one time about the Holy Spirit, they said, what is it?

Well, first of all, he is not an it.

Right?

He is a person.

Verse 17, he is the spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it sees him not,

neither knows him, but you know him, for he dwells with you and shall be in you.

Somebody say, thank you, Lord be in you. Somebody say thank you Lord for the Holy Spirit.

In verse 26, notice this.

He said, but the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost.

Ghost is an old English word for spirit, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father

will send in my name, he shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance

whatsoever I have said to you. The God's word translation says it like this, verse 26, he will teach you everything and he will remind you of everything that I have ever told you.

Don't talk about getting old and becoming forgetful.

Those words are stowed against what the Lord has said here.
