Imagine. You're 13 years old. You're swimming as fast as you can. Through a cove near an island covered with tall pine trees. The summer sun warms the skin on your back as you tear across the water.

You spot the shore ahead and paddle even harder.

Your arms and legs burn with exhaustion.

Finally, your hand slaps against the dock.

You whip your head out of the water and look up to your dad,

who's standing above you, holding his stopwatch.
