episode of the Botan Beloved Podcast.

I am so glad that you are here today.

I'm just really excited to dive into this week's topic, so we're kind of just going to get on into this one

But first and foremost 20 is literally right around the corner. I've just been thinking about that it hasn't really hit me yet. I still can't believe that we're in 2019. Like I still think sometimes that we're in 2018 and then I'm like, wait, nope, it's 2019.

But it hit me the other day that we really are wrapping up 2019

here real soon, and the new decade is approaching us.

And something that I see a lot of people do in regards to a new year approaching is

picking a word or praying about a word that will define their upcoming year

their upcoming season like okay for okay, for instance, for some people, it's

rest. I really feel like the Lord wants me to rest this year or I really feel like God is telling me that my

word this year is legacy or discipline or joy I don't know but for me I've never really been that person like whenever I've tried to pray for a specific word to determine or define my year or to be my goal and foundation for that year

I've never really been able to scrape up a phrase and I think that's really because God usually has me enter in and out of

seasons on his timing and that's when I really get words for those seasons I would

say that yeah I get words for seasons

and not necessarily, quote unquote, my years.

Like, for instance, a few years ago,

my word was obedience.

He had me in a really, really intense season of obedience and then following after that I was in a season of perseverance
