I was 22. My first proper posting issue was Campbelltown, a 5,000 town brand new frigate,

and I was given 22 men that I was responsible for in the warship. And I realized that all of them,

bar none, had more experience than I did than 80s. I thought, so what's this leadership thing about?

And I found that sailors don't follow you because you've got gold rings on your arm.

They follow you because they believe in you.

got a bit of a croaky voice because he's bouncing back from some man flu or other. Mike, in terms of us and our relationship, I think we go back for probably a couple of decades, but we only see each other, maybe twice a decade. But I think last time we bumped into the other, you're a trustee of Philo, so I saw you at Jay John's evangelist conference, I think it was about three years ago.

We first met Christchurch in Winchester, and you flirted, didn't you, with being a glow trustee,

and then we just concluded you were too busy changing the world to be able to fit us in, which I totally get.

You're married to Claire. I'm really excited to hear about your,

I mean, working at McKinsey, being a partner there and then founding Abakin and basically

all about transformational leadership development, that sort of stuff. So we're going to get into
