Speaking of beautiful days, an interesting article over at Common Dreams

about how doom and gloom you know should should we

should we even pay attention essentially to doom and gloom to to do articles

stories well in this case it's in the context of climate change

uh... john atcheson wrote it's

titled our aversion to doom and gloom is

do mean us

and uh... you, he talks about this article in the New Yorker, or New York magazine, excuse me,

the Uninhabitable Earth.

We talked about this a week or so ago when it first came out.

And, you know, a fairly famous scientist said, there's a week or so ago when it first came out.

And a fairly famous scientist said there's no need to overstate the evidence,

particularly when it feeds a paralyzing narrative of doom and hopelessness.

And what the author of this piece is saying is, sorry, there's nothing paralyzing about being told the truth.

People get cancer diagnoses all the time and they go out and do something about it.

They get, you know, they get illness diagnoses and they do something about it.
