believers in peace, freedom, and the American way. Well it's the anniversary. Garden 1791 ended in

1804 of the Haitian Revolution. Today, August 21st, the Haitian Revolution represents the largest slave

uprising. This is from the Wikipedia page. Since Spartacus's unsuccessful

revolt against the Roman Republic 1900 years before.

It was successful.

The only slave uprising that led to the founding of a nation

which was both free from slavery and ruled by non-white former captives. So today, the anniversary

of the Haitian Revolution. Today also we're going to have an eclipse. It's going to start here on the

East Coast and sometime in the next hour or thereabouts. Do not look at it. If you

don't have the right glasses, don't try. You'll be able to watch on TV.

Jerry Lewis, I didn't know, Jerry Lewis was part of everybody's growing up, you know, with nothing else with the

muscular distrific, district telethons, but Dick Gregory was a big part of my growing up.
