Welcome to the show. On Tuesday night, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris went head-to-head in a presidential debate for the very first time. Usually, these debates are dominated by

domestic politics, and to be fair, topics like the

economy and abortion were discussed at length, but there was also a lot of discussion about

foreign policy.

If I were president, Russia would have never, ever have gone into Ukraine.

Israel has a right to defend itself and how it does so matters.

Bad immigration is the worst thing that can happen to our economy. The two also tussled on China,

Afghanistan, and Trump's strange fixation with dictators. I was a bit surprised that foreign policy

came up as much as it did, but perhaps it's a reflection of how

messy and scary the world is right now. Harris walked a fine line in the debate. She was

loyal to her boss, but again and again she made clear she was not Joe Biden. Frustratingly

on foreign policy, and perhaps this is just what happens in

debates, she didn't really explain how her policies would be any different from those of her boss.

With Trump, we have much more of a known quantity, and my guest today knows him all too well.
