Were you guys underwhelmed yesterday?

Yeah, I mean, it wasn't a done deal yesterday,

but it was, I guess, all but signed as of yesterday afternoon.

We were talking about it.

And it struck me very much as a Brian Schottenheimer type higher that it

Kevin Sherrington said Schottenheimer times 10 yeah I don't know about times 10 that's sound

hyperbolic but it it it is similarly underwhelming uh i i don't know the the hitch experiment went so horribly wrong

and you have to give the caveats to gullets in that it was at the tail end of the hicks regime

when the roster was trash and Hicks was going bankrupt and they were changing out the front office and that's when Jim Nill came in and he needed to put his stamp on the franchise and he made a change of his coach.

So he wasn't in the best situation when he was here the first time

and i guess he's rehabilitated his image to where everyone says he's a power play genius

and that he knows how to work with star players and he is kind of one of the next great

head coaches in waiting as far as bench coaches go.

But it's interesting that no one else tried to pick him up this cycle, just the stars.

If they don't get over the top here with this current iteration of the roster,

then I'm always going to look back at this moment and

wish and wonder why they didn't give this decision a few more weeks to marinate, to maybe

get Otter and DeBore in a room and work it out like adults and say, okay, everything was
