So we were talking about comps, and I suppose the one comp is the one that nobody would want to have their guy compared to if you were a Wembeian enthusiast, which would be those 77 trailblazers.

They got one.

Bill Walton, age 24, I think.

No, age 25, I guess.

So not a perfect comparison necessarily, but, you know, what's the second best player on that team?

I guess Maurice Lucas and they were also about that same age.

I think he was 24 as well.

Very young team, though, is the point.

Everyone who played big minutes for the 77 Blazers were under the age of 25.

A couple bench pieces were up near 30, but they won the title.

Now, they weren't a great team.

They did not win 50 games that year.

But they won the title.

And the reason Bill Walton wasn't on my list is because he didn't turn into a borderline top 10 player of all time.

I was looking at those guys.

You know, your Jordan, Magic, Larry, LeBron, Kareem, Bill Russell, and so forth.

Walton's feet got him.

Yeah. And, you know, that was, that turned out to be basically one of the two best years of Bill Walton's career.

The next year he didn't win the title, but he won league MVP.

And everything else was, you know, injured or a bench piece for a really good Celtics team in 86.

Well, one thing is for sure, I guess barring injury, which we can always say with Wemby,

hand the man the MVP for next season.
