So yesterday, we spent plenty of time on the Masayu Jerry press conference and Afterglow as felt like a home run hire for the Mavericks, at least according to this reporter.

I just feel great about it. I think they got the right guy. I think they got the guy would

hope they would get. And there were a lot of potential wrong turns, which brings us to

the Jason Kidd conversation.

So we didn't really spend time on this yesterday.

I guess we were pressed for time, but this was a important part of the press conference as well.

And at first blush, upon hearing this very first question i uh i thought

i don't think massai is planning on coming in here and blowing out his head coach let's

let's hear this interaction i had a conversation with jason kid uh yesterday i'm going to meet

with jason kid um here his thoughts you know, on everything. Another Hall of Fame

player. He's done a great job. But we're going to look at this thing from head to toe. You know,

that's the right way to look at an organization, evaluate in every single way that we can. But But yeah, I talk to him and I'm going

to hear his thoughts on where he sees this. Okay, so no big deal. And if you were the new guy in here,

would you blow out a coach where most people have said the coach has done a pretty good job.

The team plays hard

he's kept things together all these things uh then a follow up from mac ingle uh just following up

a question regarding um the status of coach kid and the way you answered it i think a lot of us

are going to sit here and surmise well the doors open that maybe he's not definitively coming back. That that's, that possibility is sort of up in the air right now. Is that correct? Do we read that right? And do I read that right? That that part, that that scenario hasn't been decided yet. Well, if you go back to my history, I've done the same thing everywhere I have been and been in this position.

I went to Denver, George Carl, it was there for three years.

Went to Toronto, inherited Coast Casey, he was there for five years.

So there's no way to read this.
