League, and I can't imagine how difficult a night it must have been last night, rolling

into today for the baseball squad, knowing that they let one get away two nights in a row, two days in a row.

And they find themselves back at 500.

You could have told them after that 9-1 run that they had a couple of weeks ago when they were six games over 500,

that, hey, how much you guys want to bet you're going to be back to 500 at some point?

Every one of them would have bet their entire net worth that they wouldn't go back to 500.

And it didn't take very long for them to snap back

there. There's seven and a half games out of first place. They're three and a half out of the

wild card. And yeah, it looks incredibly bleak even though they're still, you know, over a month of

baseball left. Well, yeah, there's 40 games to go.

Yeah.

And the probabilities are starting to look like a problem.

The Rangers right now, according to our fan graphs projections, have a 16% chance of making the playoffs.

Whereas if you look in the division, just look at those other two teams that are not doing horribly right now.

The Mariners and the Astros are both sitting at 95% and 94% to make the playoffs.

The Astros are at 50% to win the division.

The Mariners are at 49%.
