So clearly they need him to be special.

And clearly this city is very skeptical on whether that's a possibility at this point or frankly to many people at any point of his career.

And I think that the reality of Prescott is better than the perception in his own city,

which is a rarity amongst NFL cities because usually every city really overrates their guy.

But for a number of reasons, some in his control, most out of his control.

He's the very rare guy that might be most lowly rated in his own city, which is a really odd trick in the NFL.

Well, and even if you think he's good, you worry because he's snapped his ankle and he's torn

his hamstring.

Yeah.

Yeah, and I don't know where those fall on the line of, like, chronic issues because at a certain

age, Tony Romo hit the peak of his career as he aged. Why? Because he got smarter and

smarter and smarter. And by the time his brain was all pro caliber, his back was made out of

sawdust. Yep. And so his collarbone was made out of popsicle sticks. Right. And so he never really

actually enjoyed peak level Romo for very long. I know his, his biggest advocates will try to tell you

that, but I'm sorry, 8 and 8, 8 and 8 at around your 30th to 32nd birthday is just not anything close to legendary quarterback play.

It wasn't all his fault, but yes, it was partly his fault.

And then somewhere around 14 or so, he started to reach this all new level, partly because the Cowboys asked less of him with DeMarco Murray running all over in that great offensive line. I mean, again, it's sort of the Jalen Hertz model. Boy, if you put together a good enough offense, we're going to ask less of our quarterback, and we're actually going to win more, and everybody's going to think he's better. And so that's a great trick. Every organization should try to do it.

Unfortunately, it kind of only lasted a year.

And then his body gave out.

I think, based on 2023 last night and anecdotal moments of 2024,

I do think his knowledge is really close to Jedi level

in terms of understanding everything in the NFL,
