Yeah, it is. You know, and I immediately thought of you because, you know, you guys went through this in the late 90s with Mark 2 and A.

And, you know, that was in the off season, though.

Is there any way to relate to how a team, whether it's the by week or not, how you deal with

something like that in the middle of the season?

No, no, there's, I mean, it's the extended family, it's your football family, and it hits really hard, and especially the circumstances.

You try to figure out, did I miss something? Was I not paying attention?

Was there a reach for help? And we didn't see it. I think that's going to be the hardest thing for the guys is, you know, is there a way that we could have prevented

it?

You know, we should have seen something.

Yeah.

Yeah, that's, I mean, that's the thing about something like this, right?

Where you just, you want answers, you want explanation, you want things to make sense.

And that's kind of the opposite of what mental unwellness is all about, I suppose, at its core, right?

Yes, absolutely.

When we get into situations like this, there's two things that always come back to mind for me.

One, we lost one of our Syracuse teammates, played with the Bears.

He was tight end.

He had a night's career in the NFL.
