Luke, chapter 10. Oh man, what a day. Best day of our life. And the reason I say that is because

it's the only day we got. You know what I mean? Like we don't have tomorrow, certainly don't have yesterday. In some cases we can be really glad we don't have yesterday, but today is the only day we got, so let's have the best day of our life.

I'm so, so encouraging to hear so many of you agree with me.

Like I pretend like I don't like it,

but then like mysteriously it just stays on throughout the day

even when I'm not at church, you know?

So that's the truth.

We've been doing a collection of talks and messages entitled Home for Humanity.

I'd kind of like to wrap up that series as we're approaching the holiday season.

And I'd like to go back to a very

parable, a very famous passage with a lawyer.

And it's here that this extraordinary parable or portrait is told by Jesus

that is known by many of us as the good Samaritan story. So Jesus, as the story

begins, he's there in front of the lawyer and it says, behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to

the test, saying, teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

And he said to him, well, what is written in the law?

How do you read it?

And he answered, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,
