Hey guys it's Hillary and this episode is gonna be a little different from usual.

You may have heard the news by now, I've been hosting this show for seven years and I'm

ready to pass the mic to someone new.

Her name is Andrea Selenzy.

She is super cool and you are gonna love her.

Now I know there are all kinds of questions out there about why I'm making this change

and right now I'm gonna do my best to explain why I'm doing it.

I mean there are a few reasons.

One, I want to rebalance my life a little bit.

Hosting a weekly show is validating and exhilarating and also it never stops.

Sasha's turning eight next month and I'm starting to realize that she and I are kind of

in the shortest part of her own longest shortest time.

The second thing is I get to do something new with this show that I love.

I'm gonna be editing this show and you guys editing is one of my very favorite things to do,

especially with talented people like our new host.

Which brings me to why I am so excited about this.

I've got all sorts of ideas rattling around in my brain about how to expand the longest shortest universe.

Before I started the longest shortest time I wrote and illustrated three young adult novels.

And this change is gonna give me the space to do things like make books again.

I've got ideas to about community engagement and fun events for all of you.

And we're gonna have the chance to do all kinds of cool new things with the podcast you're listening to right now.
