Hi, I'm doing well. How are you doing, Roth? Oh, you know, I'm all right. You know, things are, it's a little weird. People will have noticed that some things are slightly different. Yeah, I think most people, if not everyone listening, will know, but Drew McGarry, the usual co-hosts of the Deadcast and all-around great guy is currently on injured reserve

as Megan Greenwald, Deadspin's editor-in-chief wrote earlier this week.

He had an accident last week, and he's currently recuperating with his family, and we don't

want to get too much more into it than that just so that

he can he can maintain his privacy and focus on what he's doing um but you know there was nothing

um scandalous or or or embarrassing that happened here just just one of those things. And so he will be focusing on

stuff that is not talking about sports with you for the next while, which means you'll be

stuck with me, unfortunately. I was thinking about this just, I guess maybe in the context of

having had a long conversation with my parents recently, that I think

that I probably speak to Drew more every week than I speak to any person other than my wife

and possibly my parents. And Drew never tells me about people from my high school having

children, which is actually one of my favorite things about him. I don't even think he knows about a lot of that stuff.

He doesn't know which of your high school classmates are having children and why you should

be interested in that.

Yeah, which is, and again, there's a lot to admire about the guy, but I think that if I were

to do a list of the things that I appreciate most about Drew, it's that you can speak to him on the guy, but I think that if I were to do a list of the things that I appreciate

most about Drew, it's that you can speak to him on the phone or over Skype for 45 minutes to an

hour every week, and he pretty much never brings up anything about suburban New Jersey.

And, you know, for that and for all the other things, I'm happy to know him and certainly anxious for him to return whenever he is able.
