Summary
The Alarmist (Rebecca Delgado Smith) tackles our most requested Canadian disaster: The Halifax Explosion. On December 6th 1917, two ships collided in the Narrows of Halifax Harbor. What resulted was one of the deadliest explosions in history. Rebecca is joined by Comedian (and Canadian) Sophie Buddle, Fact Checker Clayton Early and Producer Amanda Lund to find out what went wrong and who is to blame. Guest Expert Ken Cuthbertson - Author of The Halifax Explosion: Canada’s Worst Disaster - stops in to explain why the SS Mont Blanc had no flag warning it carried explosives.
