Stephen, how are you, my friend? I'm doing all right. How are you? Not too bad. Football season's over. I have to say, the Seahawks are like number three of my hated team since they knocked my beloved commanders out of the playoffs the last few times. Well, not last year was Eagles, but at least, at least the team that beat us won the Super Bowl. That's how I look at that. I don't know how you look at that. But the team, you don't want them to win everything. Yeah, fair, fair point. I will say this Super Bowl made me think if the Eagles had just been a little bit better on offense, they could have repeated because it wasn't exactly. There's two teams as congratulations on the Seahawks, they definitely deserved to win that game. Sure. But they sure looked beatable to me if the Eagles had just been. That's what makes it precious. It's like he really could have done it if you had just been a little better on offense, just figured it out a little bit more. But alas, we didn't and the Seahawks did. So congratulations to them. |
| 1:28.6 | Yeah. And my commanders picked up to a new DC and a nosi. You've never done the job before, |
| 1:33.4 | so we'll see how that works out. We fired one of our most beloved coaches and Jeff Stelan, |
| 1:38.0 | the offensive line coach. So sad, but, you know, new, new path. Well, hopefully it works. |
| 1:43.9 | We'll see what happens. |
| 1:44.6 | All right, folks, that's it for sports talk. |
| 1:45.9 | Don't worry. |
| 1:46.3 | You don't have a fast forward button. |
| 1:47.7 | We're good. |
| 1:48.3 | So there's a couple of things I want to talk about this week. If you don't mind, sir. The first one is the ATF pick, Trump's pick for ATF director. this has been a position that a lot of presidents, and I meet a lot of presidents, |
| 1:59.5 | have had a lot of problems with over the years trying to get someone through. |
| 2:02.8 | There's been a lot of presidents, and I meet a lot of presidents, have had a lot of problems with over the years trying to get someone through. There's been a lot of acting directors because they couldn't get anybody through the confirmation process, but this one seems a little different. So tell us about this guy. Yeah, this is, his name is Robert Sakata, which by the way, he did, I think we talked about him before, and I wasn't sure how to pronounce his name, |
| 2:18.1 | but he did say his name at this hearing, so that is helpful. But anyway, he is... I looked at it up. By the way, I looked at it. He has no relation to John Sakata, the Latin singing artist that was so popular in the 80s and 90s, so just in case, it's too bad, because it might have been a check in his favor if he had been. |
| 2:34.4 | But either way, he is the current acting director of the ATF. |
| 2:41.2 | And, or sorry, he's the deputy director. |
| 2:44.4 | But I think he's really the one who's kind of running the show and has been for maybe the entire second and second Trump administration because if you recall initially, Cash Patel, the FBI director, was |
| 2:56.3 | also made the acting director of the ATF, but reportedly really never did that job. |
| 3:02.1 | Maybe never even showed up at the building outside the very first day where he sworn in. |
| 3:06.6 | And then since then, he was replaced with another acting director who was currently the Army |
| 3:13.5 | secretary. |
| 3:14.2 | So you kind of had guys who aren't necessarily very focused on the ATF job as the technical |
| 3:20.2 | head of the ATF. |
