When it comes to guns, it seems like there are three kinds of people in America.

They're the people who love guns. They're the people who love guns.

They're the people who hate them.

And they're the people who don't really care much about them.

So I did not grow up around firearms.

It was just never something that was on my radar.

I was a competitive ballroom dancer. And my mom's a physics teacher and a professional figure skater.

And my dad's hobby was

golf.

It's to the best of our knowledge, and today's show begins with a conversion story.

Story of how a 25-year-old

former ballroom dancer fell in love with guns. I got an internship at a museum in Pittsburgh

where I'm from and I was walking through the gallery one day. There was a Civil War era

Enfield rifle on the on the wall and the soldier who

had it during the war had carved every battle that he fought in into the stock. Hand-carved

while he was sitting there. I don't remember how many battles, but I remember the stock was completely covered.
