Hi, who are you doing today? Good. I'm really excited to have you on here because, I mean, I'm sure we can speak for hours on

on so many different topics, but I'm most excited to discuss basically the intersection of trauma,

of chronic illness and various diseases. So first and foremost,

you know, just to explain to the audience, how did this path lead, like, how did you get to

this point in your work? Well, I've always been interested in what actually caused mental illness.

And what's the exact cause?

And it's not an easy thing to figure out.

And different theories came and went.

My initial training over 50 years ago was it's psychodynamic.

It's your mother's fault.

Okay?

It has to do with the Freudian theories.

And although maybe there's some role with psychological development,

there's a lot of other pieces.

And I specialize working with treatment resistant patients.

And in working with that group,

a lot had infectious diseases that contributed. And that's why they were treatment-resistant patients. And in working with that group, a lot had infectious diseases that contributed.
