Hi, I'm Dave. Welcome to Walking as Fitness, a daily 10-minute podcast designed to provide a little motivation to get out the door, take the walk, and I think even more importantly, to keep going to build consistency.

Today's 10-minute walk starts right after this.

It all started with a black leather chair in my office at the radio station.

As part of the morning show, we would wrap up at 9 a.m.

We had started at 6.

I had been at the station since about 4.30.

I would head back to my office.

I would go into the kitchen, make another cup of coffee,

protein bar, and then sit in this black leather chair that was in the corner of my office.

It was usually where if I had other people that I was working with and we were talking, I would be sitting behind my office. It was usually where if I had other people that I was working with and we were

talking, I would be sitting behind my desk and they would be sitting in the black leather

chair. But at this point in the day, no one was in my office except for me. So I sat in this black

leather chair, drinking my coffee, eating my protein bar, and loving every minute.

This part of my day had become really a highlight, something that I looked forward to.

And I fell in love with that chair and with sitting in a way that I hadn't for many, many years,
