It's a special event. I am in Los Angeles, California, sitting directly across from me at a table, my beloved friend, our PGA tour correspondent on the ground, Nathan Hubbard, and an extraordinarily special guest here today in Los Angeles, California.

Fresh off of a top 50 finish in Las Vegas, Nevada, made the cut close to check.

That's close to second. I got a participation ribbon.

And the check Mark Hubbard is live in the flesh here, a PGA tour professional on Fairway Rollin' during this excellent moment in the season.

The first T's wide open. It's a three ball. I can't believe Mark's letting us go out with them. They don't.

I know. It's kind of silly. We're lucky.

We're off. Here we go. All right boys. We're back. You're just back from Vegas. We had four outstanding rounds. It looked like perfect weather the whole time.

No, actually it was not. I think that's why aside from SJ just going off, the rest of the field of scores weren't as low as they normally are.

The wind was definitely up Friday and Saturday.

We had a weird rain on Friday too. It was like a Seattle day early in the morning.

Then it blew at least 20 in the afternoon.

Which is why the cut stayed where it was.

So the course I thought was actually softer, a lot softer than we normally see it.

So I thought scores were going to be low, but that wind kept them where they were.

That's really the only defense out there as the wind typically anyway, right?

Yeah, especially on that back nine. I mean those holes are so getable.

But when you get across wind, I mean you're having aim in the water on 16 or 17. It definitely makes a lot more challenging.

So Nate and I in the run up to this weekend's event were kind of thinking through amusing about the fact that the whole tour has descended on Las Vegas for two weeks upcoming.
