Summary
This is a story passed down from a grandfather who worked nights in a rail yard in the 1940s. When a building caught fire, he rushed inside without hesitation, moving floor by floor to help anyone still trapped.
By the time he reached the upper levels, the conditions had worsened, and the chances of finding anyone alive were fading. But as the smoke shifted, something else came into view—something that didn’t belong in a rescue scene.
