0:21.7

How's things that you got back from Mexico not too long ago? I guess you know a few days back.

0:28.0

Yeah, I mean it was I guess it was just I was still there a week ago which is weird to think about because it's like 20s

0:34.2

Fahrenheit here and we're forgetting snow tonight so yeah thinking back that was that was

0:40.8

pretty awesome it was a whirlwind trip but you know nice to get to someplace hot this time of year.

0:46.0

Yeah, very James Taylor.

0:48.0

Yeah. How was how was the diving? How was Sylvia Earl? I mean give us the whole rundown. I've been I've been to Cabo

0:55.8

Cabo Pomo. It was great. You know it was I mean I tell everyone that's asked me about this trip it was it was fairly life

1:04.7

changing for me I mean it was a really interesting experience to you know the

1:09.3

diving was great and that part of Mexico Baja is just a really neat place but Sylvia Earl herself is one of those rare people that you know I could count on probably two or three fingers how many people I've met that are kind of of her, I don't want to say

1:24.2

caliber, but have had the effect that she had on me.

1:30.0

She's a very humble person, a very kind person, and yet she sort of radiates this passion for

1:35.6

what her cause is, which is ocean conservation.

1:38.6

We might have talked about this in the past episode, but if anyone hasn't seen the movie Mission Blue, which is kind of about her current

1:47.4

sort of passion project in Ocean Conservation.

1:50.7

The movie, the documentary on Netflix Netflix is really kind of about her and her life story,

1:56.0

but she's just a remarkable person and at age 82 to still be diving and not just sort of falling off a boat with a tank on her back and she's taking a big camera rig and she's just under water she's just has this very childlike wonder still about the ocean which is it was really

2:15.1

inspiring you know just a really you know great time sitting next to her at dinner and

2:20.4

just chatting about her her history and her you know what's changed and diving and just that you know she she was diving when Kusto was still just you know in his first

2:36.5

decade or two of you know making movies and that sort of thing so real a real pioneer and you know I've told people before and this was my second trip to Cabo Palmo which is up the east coast about two hours from that southern tip where you were at Cabo San Lucas.
