Hello and welcome to another episode of The Grey Native. It's a loose discussion of travel, adventure, diving, driving, driving gear, and most certainly watches. This episode 356, and it's proudly brought to you by the always-growing TGN supporter crew.

We thank you all so much for your continued support, and if you'd like to support the show, please visit thegraynato.com for more details. My name is James Stacey, and I'm joined as ever by my friend and co-host, Jason Heaton. Hey, Jason, how are we doing? I'm doing pretty well. You know, I was just as you were talking, I was getting this distinctive odor of, um, not related to you at all, um, to pipe tobacco. Oh, really?

0:43.4

And I was trying to figure out where it was coming from, and I realized I'm using a mic that I haven't used in a while,

0:47.9

this SMB-58 that we used to use regularly, and I'm not at home right now. So I carry it in the pouch that came in, the Sh-U-R-E pouch pouch, and I realized I think I've used that same pouch to store some pipe tobacco in. And so the microphone is taken on this lovely smell of pipe tobacco. So it's kind of... How very fall, fall, winter for you. Yeah, right. Yeah. Yeah. But other than that, I'm doing great. I'm back from, as are you from some Thanksgiving travel and

1:12.1

lots of driving and it's proper winter now. It sure is. I shoveled for the first time this

1:19.2

morning, had to clean the car off. We're into, you know, warming up the car season and all that

1:24.4

kind of thing. But it was great to end November with Thanksgiving. And of course,

1:29.6

that's also the end of the tactile turn TGN-C-N-1 pre-orders. So we did want to put a big shout out,

1:36.7

both the tactile turn for partnering with us on the pen, but also to everyone who picked one up.

1:40.6

I can now say I'm a proud owner. Mine was waiting for me in Pennsylvania and I've got it here on my desk and I'm absolutely loving it. I'm looking for excuses to write stuff down and that sort of thing. So that's been great. And I've been really enjoying the sort of companion stickers we did with them as well, you know, with some great design work by Stay Calm industry.

2:02.4

So a big shout out to Tactyl Turn and Stay Calm for working with us on that project.

2:06.9

Yeah, I'm so thrilled with the packaging and the stickers in that dazzle camo pattern with the

2:13.8

orange that we did for the CWN1 packaging and then for this, I'm kind of addicted

2:18.4

to it. And it's a shame that it's restricted to the packaging. And, you know, we don't have any immediate plans to spin that off. But I know a few people have said, oh, you know, NATO straps or some, you know, put it on a article of clothing or, you know, I could see like a winter scarf in that sort of pattern. I just I love that

2:35.2

that orange orange camel we did. It's great and of course it's on the clip of the pen. But yeah,

2:40.5

I'm thrilled with how those turned out and yeah, thanks to tactile turn and to everybody that ordered.

2:45.2

I hope everybody's enjoying getting those. They seem to be shipping quite regularly and everybody's

2:50.3

getting them and enjoy. Yeah, I'll be excited when they've all been delivered and people can just be out

2:54.5

enjoying them. But we saw some stuff on the Slack from people who like write all day long.

2:58.5

Yeah. And they were like very excited to have this and that feels pretty good. So I'm pretty

3:03.0

thrilled by it. And they're definitely a fun thing to have into a nice little sort of remembrance of both

3:08.0

the show and that sort of thing so uh so how was your thanksgiving yeah it was good it was varied
