Yorkshire man Ben Woolgate says he has dedicated years of his life to trying to find answers about what he saw in the woods as a child near York,

northern England, nearly 30 years ago.

He was seven years old at the time.

It was a hot sunny day when Ben was on his way home from a camping trip with the scouts

at Snowball Plantation.

During the journey home, the coach the boys were travelling in, stopped off to allow the

boys to stretch their legs near the woods. And Ben says he walked up a small embankment into the

wooded area. Up ahead of him, he noticed the derelict outbuilding, standing in a small clearing.

But then his eyes were diverted to his left, where, about 25 metres away,

he saw a spindly green creature with a tiny head. It was over six feet tall and had oversized limbs.

As it walked, it stooped, as if it was struggling to stay upright, or perhaps to try to keep a low profile.

Ben told UK newspapers, the wooded area wasn't that dense, so I got a good look at this thing.

We made eye contact. It had black eyes. It looked at me. It definitely was not of this earth.

Its head, in proportion to its body, was tiny. This thing was more like a lizard,

but I'm not saying it had scales. It was olive green from head to toe. It was a very slender thing,

with dark eyes, a tiny head, and long over-proportioned arms that came past its knees. It was just

otherworldly. It shouldn't have been walking on two feet this thing was just walking right through the woods so

at first ben said he had expected it to run off but it didn't seem to care that it was seen then ben thought perhaps this was a prank being played on him so he he ran back to the coach, expecting to find his friends in fits of giggles.

But none of them even looked at him or noticed that he'd returned.

Now an adult, former infantry soldier Ben, says, it wouldn't be hard for something to stay hidden on the moors.

I'm very sceptically minded. I won't just jump on anything and say it was an alien, but if there are

intelligent beings out there, and I'm not saying there are, but it's likely they are coming here.
