I am thrilled today to welcome Sam Tannenhouse, the author of this fantastic new biography

of William F. Buckley.

So I should clarify, for those who don't necessarily know, that Bill Buckley was a very important

figure in my life.

He was my mentor.

He was my friend.

And we occasionally had some tangles, a few little things, as friends do.

But I have been eagerly anticipating this book for a very long time.

Well, Sam, first of all, congratulations on the book. And second, why did you keep us all waiting so long?
