Coming at you again, remotely, here on a kind of sunny day in New York. We're holding up, we hope you are holding up too and

staying safe. I have with me today Rob Sheffield, Brittany Spanos and Andy Green, and

we're going to be talking about concerts in a time when there are no concerts.

We're going to be talking about some of our favorite concerts of all time and maybe a little bit

about this situation with concerts which we touched on in a previous episode.

We're also going to be playing picks from Brendan Benson and from Brian Fallon for their

favorite concerts they've ever seen. But hey all how are you? How are you holding up?

Absolutely wonderful.

Very, very good. I thought we'd start by talking about the fact that there aren't going to be

concerts for a while. The industry has scheduled shows for September. If you

asked the concert industry, they're kind of like, yeah, we're starting on September.

Coachella is supposed to happen in October.

Now, Ethan Millman and other people on our team have done reporting in it.

It's backing up this idea that medical experts are saying basically

there's no way it's not going to happen basically because mass gatherings which is

what concerts are are going to be the very last things that come back.

So even under a very optimistic timeline

where people are able to get back to work

because of increased testing and tracing

and who knows what else, that doesn't mean you can just bring back concerts because even
