here on a rainy day in New York.

When this crisis started to break out, I had a lot of thoughts for what to do with Rolling Stone music now and hopefully we'll still find some fun things to do, but it seems like we are grappling with a bunch of obituaries today we're

going to be talking about two legends Bill Withers and John Prine.

We're going to start with Bill Withers.

We have some pretty amazing audio from Andy Green's

interview with Bill Withers and Bill died from heart problems. It had nothing to do

with COVID, correct any? Yes, yes indeed indeed now bill withers was a unique figure for a lot of

reasons he started his career in his 30s after he'd already kind of work blue-collar

jobs and then he quit his career after some amazing success and you

spent a bunch of time with them a few years ago and that's the interview we're

going to hear what was it like to go up there?

What was your time with him like?

It was great being with him.

I'm a big fan and he's never done much press.

So to being his presence, it was first a bit intimidating, but he was very warm and very honest and very funny and full surprises.

I mean, he talked to me a lot about loving the big bang theory you know so

we go back and forth for talking about sitcoms and talking about all the intense racism that

he experienced during his career.

So it was a lot.

He was an amazing guy to talk to.
