Summary

On this sixth Sunday of Easter, we are coming to the end of the book of Revelation, the final book of the Bible. tell of as the story reaches its culmination? We hear tell of a city. I mentioned

this last week too, but the Bible is very interested in cities. Think of

1:25.4

order of the Caldees from which Abraham comes. Think of Babylon, Nineveh,

1:29.6

Shiloh, Nazareth, Rome to name just a few. Cain, the son of Adam, is called the

1:38.4

founder of cities. And there's a whole universe packed into that little

1:42.6

description, right? That the first murderer is the founder of cities. So the

1:47.1

Bible wants us to think about that. The devil offers to Jesus as a supreme

1:52.2

temptation all the cities of the world in their splendor. And of course in the

1:59.8

Bible, the city of cities is the former Jebusite town that David
